North Carolina has a rich history in Hog Farming and we are renowned for our Whole Hog BBQ. Almost every weekend during our spring and fall seasons you can find a local whole hog BBQ cook-off happening. The NC Pork Counsil sponsors The Whole Hog Barbecue Series through out the state using sanctioned BBQ Judges.
The Carolina BBQ League started up around 2019, doing Whole Hog Contest for all you Charcoal / Wood cooking enthusiast. They also use sanctioned BBQ Judges by the NC Pork Council. Go Check them Out on their Facebook Page !!!
